What is The Portland Foundation?

The Portland Foundation, founded in 1951, is the second oldest community foundation in Indiana.  It was created to enhance the quality of life for the people of Jay County, Indiana, now and for generations to come, by building community endowment, effecting significant impact through grantmaking and providing leadership on key community issues.

Congratulations to the 2011 Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship Recipient

Parker May is the 2011  Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship Recipient.  He is the son of Joe and Shelly May, rural Bryant.  Parker is ranked sixth in his class with a GPA of 4.017.  He is a member of the National Honor Society, Campus Life, Foreign Exchange Club, German Club, JCL (Latin Club), Key Club, Student Council, and is a student mentor.  He plans to study Nursing at Ball State University.
