2007 Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship Recipients

In 2007, two Jay County High School graduates were named to receive full, four-year scholarships as The Portland Foundation’s Lilly Endowment Community Scholars. Sara Garringer and Austin Flynn received full tuition to the Indiana college of their choice and an $800 yearly stipend for required books and equipment.

Sara is the daughter of Ralph and Nancy Garringer and is majoring in education at Indiana University.

Sara was ranked #1 in her class of 248 at Jay County High School with a GPA of 4.046.

Austin is the son Stephen and Carlotta Flynn. He is attending Wabash College as an English major. 

Austin was ranked #1 in his class of 248 at Jay County High School with a GPA of 4.00.
